WHAT HAVE YOUR FARMERS BEEN UP TO?

Over the past few weeks, Jim and I have been evaluating last season and making little tweaks to make this one even better. It is never too late to chime in. If you have any suggestions or feedback, please drop us a line. I have spent the past several days parked in front of the wood stove, seed catalogs scattered all around me. All the orders have been placed and soon I’ll be starting seeds in the greenhouse!

Jim is spending a lot of time out in the shop lately, systematically tuning up all the tractors and trucks. He, Isaac, and Alex will also be building me yet another greenhouse. The veggie start branch of the business is really flourishing and I never seem to have enough space for them all.

OLYMPIA FARMERS MARKET IS STILL OPEN EVERY SATURDAY FROM 10-3.

This is the second year the market is open year round. There are several farmers there-including us! We currently have carrots, parsnips, onions, potatoes, leeks, shallots, dry beans, winter squash, arugula, kale, and other greens (periodically). You’ll also find at the market baked goods, meat , seafood, cheese, yogurt,  fruit, prepared foods from the restaurants, soap, and quite a few crafts. There are space heaters throughout the market, hot coffee and tea at the cafes, and lots of parking! Please continue to support all of us local producers. We are so lucky to have such abundance this time of year.
